#whatwouldbuddysay
Buddy Fergurson finds it somewhat insulting that just because he finally discovered using hash tags on his instagram posts, that some people think he's been lax in his blog posting!
humph
It's all about being in the moment, you know ~
Head on over to #whatwouldbuddysay to find out what Buddy and the gang
have been up to!

The Unified Front
With all the political shenanigans that have recently been filling the news,
Buddy Fergurson can't help but wonder why humans find it so hard to figure out
that it IS possible for one to function successfully within a group, while still working to further
their own agenda.
Take this recent weekday morning photo for example.
Buddy, along with Kevin and Franky,
have all presented a unified front as they patiently wait for their dad to finish his shower
and take them for their walk.
BUT, individual motives are actually afoot.
Franky can't wait to get back from his walk, which he really thinks he can do without,
so he can snuggle down and resume his nap...
which his mom just interrupted with the camera.
Kevin is on high alert for the garbage truck.
He spotted the cans out the front window, so he's all set to announce
the truck's arrival
the truck's arrival
and defend his home territory when it appears.
It doesn't seem to matter that it's already been there.
Any passing truck will do.
And Buddy?
Buddy knows after that after their walk, Buddy's mom will usually
make toast or heat up a muffin.
So that means crumbs.
And in addition to crumbs, if she's really in a generous mood
-which she normally is-
that means she will share a bite of it with him.
(even though his dad will tell her not to)
AND, if she's not too sleepy,
she may even put jam on that muffin
and that would be even better!
Unified front.
Works every time...
and everyone wins in the end!

Always Room For One More
Buddy Fergurson considers himself pretty lucky that he has a dad with a magical lap that seems to expand for any pet that happens upon it.
This, of course, makes things more comfy for everyone, which is particularly important since the Cardinals are in the playoffs, and football and hockey are starting.
Well, Franky still has a few things to work out with the comfy part...

Fun and (Pug) Games
When asked about his weekend with his new brother Franky, Buddy Fergurson decided he
would provide the short abbreviated version -
which went something like this:
Franky goes under the bed
Buddy goes under the bed
Franky comes out from under the bed
Buddy, gets stuck under the bed.
I'd smile too, Franky!

The Cleaner
Buddy Fergurson can't understand why his mom is getting frustrated with him.
He's obviously is a fabulous helper, AND has such a flair for pantry cleaning.
No fallen chip ever goes unattended under his watchful eye!
So what if it's only the 7th time in less then an hour that
he's gotten stuck under the step stool...
things happen ~

Buddy's Early Thanksgiving
Buddy Fergurson was pretty happy this morning that his mom decided to apply hand
lotion to her hands - right before she picked up her bowl of oatmeal.
~ A feast suddenly fell from the sky ~
Appearing on the floor right before his "very" eyes!
Buddy and Kevin hope that a feast will magically fall from the sky before the eyes and into the tummys of many others this Thanksgiving Holiday.
As rescue pugs, they know it's important to be thankful for all you have
and to generously help those who are without.
~ two or four legs ~

Yes, We Are Adopted
Buddy and Kevin Fergurson are in their little red vests waiting for their mom to take them for
their walk. Every time they venture out, Buddy always hears people on the street tell his mom how
cute both him and Kevin are. And every time he also hears his mom answer back "Thank you...they are both rescue pets, you know....". And that is something that Buddy is pretty happy to hear!

Available For Play!
It's a beautiful day out today. Buddy Fergurson's mom is busy picking up her studio and also getting some jewelry ready for a Holiday Craft Sale. Buddy has his own ideas of course. If anyone is interested, he's definitely "available for play"!

Tips For A Safe Pet Halloween
Last week when Buddy Fergurson and his mom were at the Vet's for Buddy's scheduled dental procedure, they picked up a print-out listing tips to keep your pets safe during the upcoming Halloween holiday. Buddy thought it would be nice to share them on his blog. Of course he had to dress up a little bit first...
~ Opening your doors to trick-or-treaters can increase the chances of your pet running out. Try to keep an eye on their whereabouts at all times. If feasible, keep cats in a secure area or closed room when opening doors. Try to designate a secure and safe area of your pet's safety.
~ Pets are naturally curious and candles should be used with caution. Pets may be attracted to the bright light of the flame in dark areas. Dogs and cats could either burn themselves by the flame and/or knock the candle over, starting a fire.
~ Candy or gum sweetened with Xylitol is toxic and should always be kept away from your pet.
~ All forms of chocolate can be harmful to your pet, potentially resulting in poisoning or severe pancreatic or gastrointestinal upset.
~ Keep candy well-sealed and out of the reach of pets.
~ Place all festive decorations out of the reach of pets. Refrain from using small or low hanging items that could possibly appeal to pets. Ingestion could cause choking or even result in the need for surgery.
~ If you dress your pets for Halloween, make sure the outfit is roomy, reflective and fire retardant.
If you think your pet may have ingested anything toxic or has been injured, please contact your Vet or Poison Control ( 888-426-4435) immediately.
