Buddy Fergurson can't understand why his mom is getting frustrated with him.

  He's obviously is a fabulous helper, AND has such a flair for pantry cleaning.

  No fallen chip ever goes unattended under his watchful eye!

So what if it's only the 7th time in less then an hour that

he's gotten stuck under the step stool...

Buddy's Early Thanksgiving

Buddy Fergurson was pretty happy this morning that his mom decided to apply hand

 lotion to her hands - right before she picked up her bowl of oatmeal.

 ~ A feast suddenly fell from the sky ~

Appearing on the floor right before his "very" eyes!  

Buddy and Kevin hope that a feast will magically fall from the sky before the eyes and into the tummys of many others this Thanksgiving Holiday.

  As rescue pugs, they know it's important to be thankful for all you have

 and to generously help those who are without.

Dreaming About.....

Facing another day of over 100 degree heat in the beautiful Garden State of New Jersey, Buddy Fergurson snuggles down in his nice comfortable bed and dreams about days to come and days that were...

Ahhh... trying to find a place to pee in the snow.

Spring Gardening With Buddy

 Gardening duties have taken up much of Buddy Fergurson's spare time recently.

As you know - it's quite a responsibility.

First Buddy has to get his directions for the day directly from the boss.

Checking on that rosemary plant.  OK, it looks fine.

oops...guess she fell asleep.

All he wants to do is play!

It's hard to find good help when you need it.

At least my mom is helping me pull weeds and my dad is mowing.

Otherwise I'd be sunk! 

Buddy Visits the Vet

Buddy Fergurson does not understand why his mom made him go visit the Vet 

this afternoon.

So what if he's limping, not wanting to walk, or play the "shoe game".

 Give a guy a break already.....

Ha!  Pinched neck will do it every time.  A shot, a prescription for an 

anti-inflammatory and Bud is set to go... good as new!

The Bluebird of Spring

 Buddy Fergurson can't understand why his mom keeps referring to him as her "chunky little Spring Bluebird" ever since he put on his new blue walking halter...

       Humph!  So what if it barely snaps.

Perking right up at the mention of the possibility of a little snow in the forecast, Buddy Fergurson and his brother Kevin formulate their new plan for great weekend!

Monday Morning Blues - Kevin's Bladder Stone Surgery

Buddy Fergurson is feeling blue this cold, winter morning.  His brother Kevin had to go in to the Vet's for surgery  - and he misses him already!  Kevin's bladder stones were discovered when he went in for routine shots and an exam last week.  Buddy is very thankful they found the stones, before they caused real problems for Kevin.  Along with his sister Princess, Buddy assures everyone that he will be taking good care of Kevin when he returns home later today.

Kevin rests up this past weekend, preparing for his surgery.

Update:  Kevin is back home and seems to be doing OK. 
He has to keep his collar on for a week.

It's All In The DNA

When asked his thoughts on the current issue of National Geographic Magazine, which features an article on the DNA patterns and the immense morphological diversity between dogs, Buddy Fergurson replied that he was not surprised that pugs actually descended from the herding group - such as the Shetland Sheepdog.  Buddy's mom said she was not surprised either, particularly since all Buddy does - in addition to eating and sleeping - is carry his dirty little pig house slipper around with him, from room...

Winter X Games

While getting himself in shape for the Winter X Games, Buddy Fergurson is happy that Petco puts their dog beds on sale periodically.

Yes, We Are Adopted

Buddy and Kevin Fergurson are in their little red vests waiting for their mom to take them for
their walk.  Every time they venture out, Buddy always hears people on the street tell his mom how
cute both him and Kevin are.  And every time he also hears his mom answer back "Thank you...they are both rescue pets, you know....".  And that is something that Buddy is pretty happy to hear!

Bath Time for Buddy

It was an unusually warm and sunny Sunday this past weekend and Buddy Fergurson's mom decided that she should probably take advantage of the weather and give Kevin and Buddy a bath before it turned colder.  It had been quite a fall.  Especially for Kevin.  Chasing birds, digging in the dirt, (still) eating tomatoes, running through the leaves, and rolling in squirrel poop.  Needless to say, he needed a bath the most.

Looking very brave, Kevin volunteered to be first.

Of course when it was Buddy's turn... he looked around for an escape route.  He really couldn't think
of a good reason why "he" would need a bath too!

But knew he was doomed!

Almost finished...

Putting that behind him, Kevin was definitely ready to move on to something else!

and so was Buddy -



 

It's All in the Paws - Buddy Learns to Crochet

Winter has finally descended upon the beautiful Garden State of New Jersey, and Buddy Fergurson's
mom has finally located her crocheting in the back of the hall closet.

  

Buddy has been thinking about learning to crochet for quite a while now.

It really doesn't look that hard to learn.

Well on second thought...

When all else fails...

 There... finally under control! 

Time to Fly

Buddy Fergurson's mom said she couldn't have made this picture up in her wildest dreams.  Going flying Buddy?  Or maybe dreaming about rabbits?  Or perhaps maybe you just had too much excitement over the Thanksgiving weekend?  That Buddy...what a guy!
