Buddy's Holiday Spirit

It's only a few more weeks until Christmas and Buddy Fergurson is all wrapped up in the Spirit of the Season!

First he helped his Mom unpacked his Christmas Stocking

Then he found some cute wallpaper to put on his computer!

He had a talk with his conscience about all the tasty treats he may
be tempted by within the next few weeks.
  Buddy promised to use restraint.

Wrapping presents actually proved to be more difficult then planned, but Buddy did his best.
He's a wiz with the scissors!

Needing a rest, Buddy also took a few minutes to look through his photo album, remembering
the time his grandma made Santa Suits for himself, Kevin and Princess.
Mom tried so hard to take a photo.
Needless to say, it didn't quite work out the way she planned.
Buddy gave up and walked off!

She did manage to get a cute shot of Princess though.
Boy, she's sure going to be missed this year.

All and all, Buddy is confident that his Christmas will be a good one.  He is very thankful for his family and all that he has in his life.
So much so, he decided to cooperate with his mom and take a "real" Christmas
 photo this year this year!

Have a safe and Happy Holiday Season!

Buddy's Early Thanksgiving

Buddy Fergurson was pretty happy this morning that his mom decided to apply hand
lotion to her hands - right before she picked up her bowl of oatmeal.

~ A feast suddenly fell from the sky ~
Appearing on the floor right before his "very" eyes!

Buddy and Kevin hope that a feast will magically fall from the sky before the eyes and into the tummys of many others this Thanksgiving Holiday.
As rescue pugs, they know it's important to be thankful for all you have
and to generously help those who are without.

The Storm

When Buddy Fergurson first heard about Hurricane Sandy approaching his town, he watched his mom run around preparing for the storm, but he really didn't know what to expect.

It sure a wasn't much fun, but Buddy is very happy to report that everyone at
his house and in his
neighborhood is safe and doing fine.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those effected by Hurricane Sandy.  Buddy and his family also urge everyone to support the shelter and rescue programs that are in need of contributions, and also the pet adoption progarms that will also be brimming with rescues in need of donations and  homes after the storm.

Buddy's Telling Tail

Buddy Fergurson appears to be rather miffed that his mom found him so easily behind the kitchen table, before mischief could ensue.

Can't imagine what gave him away

Oh Buddy!

Buddy's Choice

Finding himself in the Vet's office yet again this year, Buddy Fergurson
unfurls his adorable
little "bat ears" and plans to fly away.

Problem is - which way?

Door # 1
or
Door # 2

oops...

Under Supervision

Buddy Fergurson doesn't seem to understand why his mom put the gate across the deck and said that he needs supervision in the backyard.  Sure, Kevin might not get along very well with that opossum she saw in the lawn this morning, but Buddy is always willing to make a new friend!

Sail On, Princess

Our little friend and companion Princess sailed off this week, after having been with us for over 12 of her 14.5 years.  A vortex of energy and enthusiasm, even during the years when she was no longer able to walk, she always managed to keep an eye on everything around her, and keep all those around her on their toes.
Like so many rescue pets, in her early days she was a handful, but she eventually calmed down and settled into our family nicely.  After all, she quickly recognized that she had a job to do.  Two other pugs, two kitties, and two kids (and their friends) to keep track of.

That new mother of hers obviously needed help getting that art studio cleaned up... and someone needed to keep an eye on her dad's gardening -  And those neighbors?   All those neighbors who kept being so friendly to her "every" time she took a walk with Boris and Stewart...
She had quite a lot to do!

Princess, Stewart and Boris (2 below 0 quickie walk)

And how have Buddy and Kevin reacted to their little Prin being MIA?

Well, Buddy has noticed that his little cuddle friend is no longer around - Kevin no longer has that messy food bowl to lick up after each meal.  And quite honestly, their world has grown smaller and
 much less less interesting.

We miss you Prinny ~

see you around girlfriend ~

More about Princess and her adoption can be read on the side of the blog.
Below is also a video link, capturing some of her wheelchair adventures in her later years.
A video, I'm happy to say, that has prompted and encouraged others to also purchase carts for
their handicapped pets.
